Funding for Equipment and Facilities to Deliver Technical Education Across England

What is T Level Capital Funding (TLCF)?

T Level Capital Funding (TLCF) is designed to support further education providers in delivering high-quality T Level qualifications across England. T Levels are technical-based courses equivalent to three A Levels, offering students a direct route into skilled employment, apprenticeships, or higher education.

To ensure providers have world class teaching facilities to deliver these qualifications effectively, the Department for Education (DfE) offers capital funding through two primary routes: the Buildings and Facilities Improvement Grant (BFIG) and the Specialist Equipment Allocation (SEA). BFIG supports the development, renovation, or expansion of teaching spaces, while SEA provides funding for industry-standard equipment required for T Level delivery.

T Level Capital Funding plays a crucial role in helping education institutions meet the rigorous demands of technical education, ensuring students gain hands-on experience in environments that reflect real-world workplaces.

We are currently awaiting the Department for Education’s official guidance on the next round of T Level Capital Funding. As soon as further details, timelines, and eligibility criteria are released, we will update our clients and begin preparing tailored support for those looking to secure funding. In the meantime, schools and providers considering a T Level project are encouraged to get in touch to discuss early planning and readiness.
